These past few weeks, students in 1st through 5th grade taking teacher Jordan Romney’s digital photography class have learned the fundamentals of digital photography. The successful completion of photographic assignments show keen understanding of focus, shutter speed, depth of field, portrait, self portrait, landscape, macro photography and double exposure. The pictures featured below (in addition to countless others) showcase extraordinary creativity, reiterating that the students have produced some fantastic work resulting from their superb instruction combined with natural talents. In addition to learning how to properly take photos, the children also learned how to edit them. Using a free editing tool called “Snapseed”, students have taken their photos to new heights, and the results are fantastic. “I am so proud of each and every one of them as they continue to put forward their best effort,” says Mr. Romney about his students’ progress in digital photography thus far.
