Our Story
In 1972, Lee Katzoff purchased Trevose Day School, fusing it with Neshaminy Montessori, a new program Mrs. Katzoff had founded two years prior in the Lower Bucks County area of Pennsylvania. Under Mrs. Katzoff’s leadership, Trevose Day School added elementary grade levels and overhauled its curriculum to reflect the most innovative and effective developments in education.
Both schools have expanded significantly throughout the past four decades, with the collective enrollment of the two schools increasing tenfold during that time. Still, because of the consistent student:faculty ratio, the schools’ nurturing, tight-knit environments as well as their traditions of academic excellence have been perserved.
Over the years, various capital improvements have been made to the campus. The current academic building has been redesigned with state-of-the-art classrooms to optimize the learning experience for each program.
Trevose Day School and Neshaminy Montessori are non-profit, secular and private schools. They are proud to be Equal Opportunity Care Providers as well as Equal Opportunity Employers. Neshaminy Montessori is a member of the American Montessori Society (AMS).
