Our Academic Philosophy

In order to become responsible global citizens, students must first study and embrace the coexistence of national, ethnic, religious, and ideological differences in the world.

Our education program is built around a belief in the unique, limitless potential of each child.

Each member of our community possesses special gifts and talents. Our role as educators is to help young children develop the confidence and awareness to recognize and pursue their passions. On a daily basis, the faculty encourages students to actively voice their ideas, opinions, questions, and concerns in a respectful and insightful manner. It is our hope that by creating a liberating intellectual environment, children will develop the confidence to fully express their spirit for the rest of their lives.

Towards The Best Self…

We seek to guide each child toward his or her best intellectual, social, emotional, and physical self. Particularly at the young, formative ages of our students, it is crucial to promote healthy and balanced development. Our curriculum is more than a lesson plan; it aims to educate the whole child. Incorporating both independent and collaborative activities, each school day places an equal emphasis on intellect and disposition.

We believe in diverse ideas and cultural backgrounds.

We challenge students to become creative, critical thinkers through an inquiry-based learning program.

In the age of Google, mastering content is no longer an adequate academic endeavor. While stressing a competency in literacy, numeracy and science, we teach our students to form and pursue complex questions. They learn to solve problems independently and collaboratively with a breadth of interconnected skills and analytical, agile minds.

Our community thrives when it is filled with a diversity of ideas and cultural backgrounds.

In an inclusive environment, we teach our students to recognize and pursue individual differences as necessary notes for composing collective harmony.

They learn to keep their minds and hearts open to new perspectives and experiences, and to share their own as valued members of the community.

Our commitment to diversity also manifests itself in the curriculum. In order to become responsible global citizens, students must first study and embrace the coexistence of national, ethnic, religious, and ideological differences in the world.

We believe that children can pursue their passions most effectively in an environment embodied by empathy, patience, and respect.

With our emphasis on self-expression and exploration, maintaining an environment of trust is a critically important task for every member of our community: faculty, staff, and student. We promote cooperation through collaborative and participatory exercises, as well as through engaging listening activities. Similarly, we approach conflict resolution as a unique learning opportunity for our young children; we teach and encourage our children to mitigate frustration by voicing their concerns respectfully and by listening to others openly.
